Administration

The Administration Department provides general administrative services for the management of the City to ensure that all Council policies and directives are accomplished. Activities include:

  • Preparing the annual City budget for Council consideration and approval
  • Expending funds according to the budget adopted by the City Council
  • Coordinating the work of all city departments
  • Preparing the reports and making recommendations to the Council on financial, legislative and management issues
  • Providing liaison between the Council, advisory boards and commissions, staff, other levels of government, the media and the public
  • Preparing agendas and providing for all City Council meetings in addition to the various commission meetings and public hearings
  • Facilitating the activities of the City's management team to carry out Council directives
  • Providing for the televising of City Council meetings which are shown on Channel 12 the Tuesday and Thursday following the meetings at 12:00 noon and 6:00 P.M.
  • Maintaining all official records and publishing all legal notices for the City
