Full-Time Police Officer

The City of Crosslake is hiring a full time police officer. Applicants must be P.O.S.T. licensed or eligible at time of hiring. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, psychological, and background check and must have a valid driver's license.

Officer's duties are to enforce local, state, and federal laws, protect citizens of the City of Crosslake, and promote public safety with an emphasis on community policing.

The Crosslake Police Department is comprised of 6 full time police officers including the Chief and Sergeant. The department moved into a new building in 2020 and has great new equipment and take home squad cars for those officers that live within the area.

The City of Crosslake is 37 square miles in one of the most beautiful parts of our state. The population is approximately 2500 people year round and triples when the seasonal residents return for the summer. The Whitefish Chain of Lakes attracts thousands of visitors a year making the summertime in Crosslake very busy with tourism. The police department is also responsible for patrolling neighboring Mission Township, which adds another 36 square miles of patrol area.
